I am excited to announce I have created a youtube channel. I hope to make it a place where you can see more about the process of creating the artworks for the modern dragon. It has been quite a challenge learning the software and skills needed (although not super complicated) it was always intimidating to me. So I’m chuffed to have this first video under my belt. I am thankful for your support both here, my Patreon page and now my youtube channel.
If there are any aspects of my art you would like to see in my videos let me know. I hope they will become a fun part of the modern dragon experience.
More often than not the habits of dragons are baffling. However by devoting more time to studying them, I hope to unravel some of the complexities of their behaviour. As of yet, I have no answer as to why they do this…
Modern Dragons are great story tellers and they pass on their wisdom to the next generation through riddles, puzzles and tales. Tales of how they survived the onslaught of kings, knights, would-be heroes and the the dreaded poacher. Cats seem to be the accessory of choice for many dragons, after all it’s always useful to have your favourite minion on hand. Some dragons love water. others prefer to try and keep dry. In this case it is apparent that humans aren’t the only ones who like to settle down on a rainy day and have some family time.
The modern dragon is not an easy creature to find. Dragons in modern times are elusive, shy, secretive creatures. They are, for the most part, but a shadow of what once was.
When I heard of a junk yard which had problems with their guard dogs going missing my suspicions were aroused. After many painstaking hours my suspicions were confirmed. It was a ‘Little Red’, a distant descendant of the great Red Fire Breathing Dragons of old who’s pride it was to take captive cities and demand sheep, cattle and virgins for their daily fee.
Thankfully the Little Red’s influence seems limited to feline companions who get warmth from his belly and bring him mice in return. It would also seem his hunger for guard dog has helped to cement the friendship…
