The Sock Dragon -10 year anniversary.

It’s been 10 years since I painted “The Sock Dragon”! So I thought I would celebrate by updating the painting as an exercise to see artistic growth. I’m happy with how it has turned out. Below is the text from the first post on this blog.

Dragons, they have become rare in our day and age. They live secretive lives and the chances of seeing one are slim to none. Many of the great dragon species have perished.

This however is one of the little ones who have quietly endured even to the present day, the Emerald Tree Dragon or (Sock Dragon). Like all dragons the desire to hoard treasure is overwhelming. However the lack of hoards of gold and jewels makes it difficult. This species has come to appreciate a different kind of treasure.

This answers one of the biggest questions I have each day:

“Where do all my socks get off to?”

  1. Love your dragons! And just discovered this one. 🙂 Reminds me of a short story I wrote with a little dragon in a sock drawer … 😉
