The Modern Dragon

My name is Lynton Levengood. I am a concept artist and illustrator living in Cape Town, South Africa. My love for drawing started at an early age, motivated strongly by a childhood fascination with dinosaurs. I would ask my father to draw me dinosaurs and then trace them many times and hand them out to my friends in pre- primary school saying "look what I drew!". After a while I didn't need to trace anymore and the desire to draw never left me. My love for dinosaurs grew into a love for dragons and fantasy, the world of imagination. A year after high school I enrolled to study animation at The Animation School in Cape Town. I graduated in 2007 and have been working in the animation industry ever since. I enjoy creating art that tells a story.
